A heavily textured ceramic sculpture with layered cratered glaze surfaces in sulfur yellow, olive, and carbon black. Dense volcanic textures and cellular formations wrap the asymmetrical form, creating shifting surfaces that read as both geologic and organic. Richly tactile from every angle.

Dimensions: 6.5" D x 8" H

Condition: Excellent. Very minimal signs of age or handling. Acquired from private collection.

Brian Rochefort is a Los Angeles–based contemporary ceramic artist known for his vividly glazed sculptural vessels and forms that reference volcanic landscapes, coral reefs, minerals, and geological processes. His work combines experimental glaze chemistry with heavily textured hand-built surfaces, resulting in intensely organic objects that blur the line between ceramic vessel and abstract sculpture. Rochefort’s work has been exhibited internationally and is included in prominent private and public collections, with pieces shown through leading contemporary galleries and major art fairs. He is currently represented by Sean Kelly Gallery.
