Joshua Aster is a Los Angeles–based abstract painter whose work explores pattern, perception, and intuitive structure. He earned his MFA from UCLA and has exhibited widely in solo and group shows across the U.S. Aster’s richly layered, geometry-driven paintings are held in private collections and have been featured by galleries and institutions throughout California.
Joshua Aster has an active and ongoing exhibition record. Recent highlights include a 2024 solo exhibition (Fly! Be Free!) at Gattopardo, alongside multiple 2024 group exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, and internationally. He has also presented recent solo exhibitions at Southwestern College (2023) and Cuesta College (2022), and is currently included in a group exhibition at Gattopardo (through April 5).
