Chris Johanson — Editioned Screenprint

Untitled (Why Are They So Frantic?), 2004
Edition 70 / 200
20" W x 23" H Framed

Regular price $120.00

Signed and dated 2004 by the artist. Numbered 70 / 200. Silkscreen on acid free archival paper. From the Beautiful Losers: Contemporary Art and Street Culture exhibition.

Rendered in vivid green and black, this limited-edition work by Chris Johanson pairs the artist’s unmistakable hand-drawn style with an anxious, darkly humorous inner monologue. A solitary, alien-like figure reflects on competition, vulnerability, persecution, and the desire to help—turning an apparently simple image into a poignant meditation on empathy and human behavior.

Johanson’s direct language and raw, graphic linework give the work an immediate, almost diaristic quality, while its electric color makes it especially striking on the wall.

Condition: The print is in excellent condition. The black wood frame shows minor dings and surface wear consistent with age and previous display.
