Edition 43 of 75.

Published as part of the Way Cool benefit portfolio for Exit Art / The First World, this screenprint by Fred Tomaselli captures the artist's fascination with dense, organic pattern and optical sensation. A field of white cellular forms drifts across a charcoal ground, punctuated by four vivid points of color. A composition that hints at the immersive visual language that would later define Tomaselli's celebrated mixed-media works.

Produced in an edition of only 75 impressions, this print represents an early example of Tomaselli's practice during a pivotal period in his career. Created to support Exit Art, the influential New York nonprofit dedicated to experimental contemporary art, the portfolio brought together works by leading artists of the time in support of the institution's mission.

A perfect work for collectors of contemporary printmaking and postwar American art alike.
