This intimate original work by Joshua Aster demonstrates the artist's refined exploration of geometry, light, and spatial rhythm. Executed on wood and measuring a petite 7.75 x 6.75 inches, the composition features a grid of softly illuminated red forms suspended within a deep, atmospheric field of blue-black tones.
The subtle interplay between structure and softness creates a contemplative visual experience, drawing the viewer into a quiet study of repetition, balance, and luminosity. Layers of color appear to emerge from beneath the surface, giving the work a sense of depth that belies its modest scale.
Compact yet visually compelling, this original painting exemplifies Aster's ability to transform simple geometric elements into a richly nuanced composition. Its small format makes it ideal for collectors seeking a distinctive cabinet piece or an addition to a curated contemporary art collection.
