FROM PRIVATE COLLECTION

This exceptional ceramic bowl is an original work by Pablo Picasso (Edition 500), created during his prolific collaboration with the Madoura Pottery Studio in Vallauris, France. Bearing the celebrated Visage (face) motif, the piece exemplifies Picasso’s playful yet masterful approach to form and surface, transforming a functional object into a work of fine art.

The bowl features Picasso’s signature stylized portrait design — bold, graphic lines that animate the vessel with personality and depth. Executed in glazed earthenware, the piece carries the earthy warmth and hand-crafted character for which the Madoura works are renowned.
