Taylor White — Lottory Ticket Mixed Media on Canvas

Signed and dated verso.

Taylor White’s Spectacular Bonus (2020) brings together painting and sewn collage in a patchwork of losing Pennsylvania lottery tickets. A muted gray surface partially obscures the tickets’ printed graphics, while soft black lines form a loose, maze-like pattern across the composition. Visible stitching and glimpses of color interrupt the restrained palette, with an exposed scratch-off ticket drawing the eye. Repurposing objects once charged with the possibility of a win, the work invites reflection on chance, repetition, and unfulfilled promise.

Condition: Excellent; Very minimal signs of age or handling.

Provenance: Roberts Projects. Private Collection.
